General Notes: Husband - Gauin McCoy

He was a captain in a New Jersey militia regiment, and served from 1776 to June 15, 1781. The name Gauin is spelled Garrin in the pension records at Washington, and also in the records of New Jersey, but on his tombstone at Basking Ridge, Somerset County, New Jersey, the name is spelled as the descendants have always spelled it, viz.: Gauin.
