General Notes: Husband - John Wallace

---

He was a farmer, and he and his brother Samuel inherited a large tract of land from their father on the Conemaugh, in what is now Indiana County, Pennsylvania. He embarked in some financial ventures that proved disastrous, and with Samuel as his endorser the farms of both of them had to be sold. He then removed with his family to Peru, Indiana.
