She made music her life study. She had the most finished course that the best American conservatories could give, and had a studio in the Clark Block, where she gave instruction in the beautiful art. She was also a soprano of rare accomplishments, a violinist, a banjo and mandolin player, and was regularly heard in the choir of the First United Presbyterian Church of New Castle, Pennsylvania.
