General Notes: Husband - Luther Hilton Church
He was reared in Hickory township, Forest County, Pennsylvania, received a common-school education, and after attaining his majority worked in the Venango oil region for twelve years. Returning to Hickory township in 1888, he engaged in farming, and beginning in October, 1889, again was working in the Venango County oil regions. He was a member of the I. O. O. F., and in politics was a Republican. He and his wife attended the services of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
