General Notes: Husband - Edward P. Cherry

He was born on the old farm in Mt. Pleasant township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, on Cherry's run, in Cherry valley. He was educated in the subscription schools of the neighborhood.
He owned a good farm containing 103 acres, part of which he rented and used as a pasture. It had been in the possession of the Cherry family since 1774, and many improvements had been made, a good house was erected in 1884. Mr. Cherry was fond of hunting and was a skillful marksman. Politically he was an active Republican, having voted for General Harrison, and served his party in various township offices. He and his wife were members of the U. P. Church at Hickory, Washington County.
