General Notes: Husband - Thomas Byers

He served in the War of 1812.

He lost a limb in early life, but the sad accident made him none the less a useful and energetic citizen. He was an ardent advocate of temperance, and held many township offices. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church, and he was superintendent of the Sabbath-school for years.
