General Notes: Husband - Andrew Graham Campbell
He was reared on his father's farm in Butler County, Pennsylvania, and also followed milling, his father being the owner of a mill. In 1868 he embarked in merchandising in Concord township, whence he removed to Mount Chestnut, afterwards to Brownsdale, then to Butler, and finally to Boydstown.
In August, 1862, he enlisted in Company C, One Hundred and Thirty-fourth Pennsylvania Volunteers, and was mustered in at Harrisburg the same month. The regiment was moved to Arlington Heights, and took part in the battle of Antietam. He afterwards served on detail service with the supply train, and continued in that capacity until his discharge, June 16, 1865. Return-ing to his home he resumed his old business of farming and milling, and also embarked in merchandising. In 1893 he was elected, on the Republican ticket, sheriff of Butler county, and took charge of his office January 1, 1894.
