General Notes: Husband - David Dick
He was the second white child to see the light of day in Meadville, which was his home during his long and busy life. He was an enterprising, popular and liberal man, an intelligent and much respected citizen.
He was the originator of the anti-friction press, and the "Allegheny," the first steamboat to ascend the Allegheny River, was the product of his energy. He was a member of the Protestant Episcopal Church. He died of erysipelas.
