General Notes: Husband - James Edward Henderson
He enlisted in Co. D, 16th Pa. Inf. January 19, 1915; served on the Mexican border from July 3, 1916, to January 17, 1917, and discharged August 5, 1917; enlisted August 5, 1917, in Co. D, 112th Inf. 28th Div.; served in France from May 5, 1918 to September, 1919; saw service at Aine, Marn, Muse Argonne; was wounded at Muse Argonne and was awarded the Purple Heart; discharged from the 285th M. P. Co. at Fort Dix, NJ, September 16, 1919; enlisted January 14, 1920, at Columbus, OH, and served with Headquarters Detachment Company, Panama Canal Division; discharged at Fort Hamilton, NY, April 25, 1923. After leaving the Army, resided one year in Colorado, five years in Washington, and in 1936 removed to Ohio.
