General Notes: Husband - Francis C. "Frank" Caldwell


He attended the common schools until the age of thirteen, and then entered the printing office of the Curwensville Review. Later he spent three years on the Pacific coast, and on his return took a position as editor on a Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, paper. On resigning that post he again visited the Pacific coast, remaining one year, and on returning east he passed the summer of 1893 in Chicago, at the World's Fair. He was later engaged in running the motor at Berwin, White & Co.'s mine, No. 26.
