General Notes: Husband - Thomas Carter

He was the first white child born in Pittsburgh, PA, and served in the revolution­ary war when a young man. He was in the military service at Pittsburgh, and also at Fort Franklin. He settled on Sugar Creek, near Cooperstown. In 1803 he settled at Dempseytown, where he died at an advanced age.
