General Notes: Husband - John Byers

He was a farmer and distiller of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

The old Byers homestead was situated at the junction of Byers and Sewickley creeks, one mile from Southwest post-office and near the center of Mount Pleasant township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. It was comprised of four hundred and sixty acres of land, and the building thereon was an old block house which, considerably remodeled, was still standing into the twentieth century.
