General Notes: Husband - James Carson

He was a farmer, and came to Buffalo township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, at an early day, when Indians and wild animals were yet numerous. The family were all members of the Seceder Church.

James and Isaac Carson were two brothers who came into Buffalo township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and located land. On a Virginia certificate James Carson took up the tract called "Eagles Nest," for which the board of property granted him a warrant of acceptance Sept. 11, 1790, and the patent was received eleven days later. On Feb. 18, 1808, James sold one hundred acres of the land to his brother Isaac, and they continued to live together.
