General Notes: Husband - Jacob Byerly
In 1822, he moved from Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and settled on a farm in the western part of Buffalo township, Butler County, where Robert Carson had previously made a small improvement. He paid about $3 per acre for his land. He worked at farming and undertaking. [HBC 1883, 258]
He came to Butler County in 1823, and purchased seventy acres of land in Buffalo township. He afterwards bought adjoining tracts, until he owned 247 acres of well improved land. He and his wife were members of the Lutheran church, and in politics, Mr. Byerly was a Republican. [HBC 1895, 864]
