General Notes: Husband - John Young

---

He was reared and educated in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. He learned the carpenter's trade, and in 1858 he came to Butler County and settled in Butler township, where he pur-chased a part of the old Mangel farm. He afterwards purchased the McNair farm of 122 acres, but traded it for 108 acres of the old Borland property.
