General Notes: Husband - Samuel R. Grace
He received his education at the public schools of Worth Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, and learned the shoemaker's trade. August 28, 1861, he enlisted in Company G, One Hundredth Pennsylvania Volunteers, his company having been formed at Millbrook, and served until the close of the war, he being captain of his company. After the close of the war lived in Millbrook, and worked at his trade. He held the office of school director of the township, was a member of Marion Craig Post, G. A. R., and voted the Republican ticket.
