Record: Co. 157th Pa Inf. Enrolled in Venango County, Pennsylvania, 2 Oct 1861. Pvt. Sep-Oct 1862 report him as 1st Sergeant, but disch. to become Lieut. to date from 10 Aug 1862. Capt. from 27 April 1863; Lt.-Col. Oct, 1864. Mustered out 13 Jan 1865.
