General Notes: Husband - John Magee

He was a potter by trade, and worked for seven years in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, and fifty-eight in Indiana Pennsylvania. He made brick in Indiana, in the seasons of 1822-3-4. His earthen-ware acquired considerable repute, and Magee's pots, jars, &c., were as household words over a large section of country. In later years, it was supplanted by stone ware. He retired at the age of eighty.
