General Notes: Husband - Christian H. Buhl
He was an early resident of Detroit, Michigan, having settled there in 1833, after following the fur trade West from his birthplace in Zelienople, Pennsylvania. He founded the successful wholesale hardware firm in Detroit, which continued in existence under the name of Buhl Sons & Company; and in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the name of the Christian H. Buhl Hospital testifies to his benevolence.
