General Notes: Husband - William S. Moore
He was born on the old family homestead farm in Muddy Creek township, Butler county, PA, was educated in the public schools, and reared a farmer. He taught in the schools of Muddy Creek and Worth townships for four years, and in 1871 located on a farm, which was considered one of the best in the township. It contained 100 acres, with good improvements, all of which he made after locating on it. Politically, he was a Republican, and was elected justice of the peace in 1880, and again in 1893. He always manifested a commendable interest in the schools of his township and served as school director for several years. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church of Portersville, and was choir leader for thirty years.
