General Notes: Husband - Lewis W. Gongaware
He was a farmer by occupation, and was the owner of a very large farm, on which he resided continuously for over sixty-four years. He was prominent in the affairs of the township, and served in the capacity of collector and supervisor. He held membership in the Lutheran church, in which body he held the offices of deacon and elder. His political affiliations were with the Democratic party.
