General Notes: Husband - James Brush


He was born on the old homestead in Sandy Creek Township, Mercer County, PA, and remained with his parents until his marriage, when he moved to a farm at Sheakleyville, which he had inherited from his parents, and upon which he resided the remainder of his life. He was an elder of the United Presbyterian Church for many years, and a citizen of strong and Christian character. [HMC 1909, 995]
Besides John and Margaret, he and his wife had three sons and two daughters who were deceased before 1909.
