JANE B. COVELL, 57, of 211 West First Street, died at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2001, in University Hospitals, Cleveland, OH. Born December 25, 1943, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Einar E. and Dorothy Horner Ziegler Brumberg. Mrs. Covell graduated May 24, 1965, from Clarion State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. After graduation, she worked in the elementary schools in the Oil City School District. She then worked as an administrator for cancer research at the University Hospitals in Cleveland. Mrs. Covell was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Belles Lettres Club and was a member and director of the Winnifred Tonkin Needlework Guild. Mrs. Covell was married in Grace United Methodist Church October 2, 1993, to Arthur Covell, who survives. Also surviving are four stepchildren, Mrs. George (Darla) Hancher of Zelienople, Arthur L. Covell and Mrs. Kenneth (Shelley) Snyder, both of Pleasantville, and Randy Covell of Oil City; and seven step-grandchildren. She also is survived by 11 cousins, Richard Ziegler of Tionesta, John Ziegler of Meadville, Willard Ziegler of Vero Beach, FL, Scott Brumberg of Chevy Chase, MD, Gary Brumberg of Los Angeles, CA, Greg Brumberg of San Francisco, CA, Reba Carlson of Fort Wayne, IN, Bernard Blide of Allendale, NJ, Paul Brumberg of Waxhaw, NC, Robert Brumberg of Aurora, CA, and Helen Swanson of Dennis, MA. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Byron K. Myers, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Grace United Methodist Church, the Salvation Army or to the Winnifred Tonkin Needlework Guild.
