General Notes: Husband - John Bruce


In 1818 [1828?], he located in Newport, Pennsylvania, then a small village of thirty inhabitants, where he remained over a year. In 1829, he removed to Blairsville, which then became his permanent home. His business was that of a carpenter and contractor. He served as member of the state house of representatives, in various borough positions, and in the several official trusts of the M. E. church.
