General Notes: Husband - Col. John Findlay
For many years he was a leading citizen of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. He was colonel of the Franklin County regiment that marched to the defense of Baltimore, in 1814. He held nearly all the Courthouse offices, 1809-21; was a representative in Congress, 1821-27, and postmaster at Chambersburg, 1827-35.
