General Notes: Husband - Dennis Springer


From 1812 to 1818 he followed flat-boating flour from Brownsville, Pennsylvania, to New Orleans, Louisiana, and afterward bought a farm containing 386 acres.

He was one of the most successful farmers in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, was educated in the common schools of the county and engaged early in life as a farmer and owned one of the finest estates in the county.
