General Notes: Husband - Oran D. Butterfield
He early became familiar with farming and lumbering, and his primary education was acquired in the country schools, which was supplemented with a course in the Belleville Academy and in a select school at Corsica. Being thus well fitted for the practi-cal duties of life, he at an early age assumed the management of the home farm, which was deeded him by his father during his lifetime.
