General Notes: Husband - R. P. Brown


He grew up at Harrisville, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and received his early education in the public schools. In 1903 he was graduated from Washington and Jefferson College and immediately became associated in the furniture and undertaking business with his father.
He was a Republican, a member of the United Presbyterian Church, and belonged to the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the school board.
