General Notes: Husband - James Brisbin, Esq.

---

He was born in Centre County, Pennsylvania, and early settled near Reedsville, Mifflin County, where he entered about one hundred and forty acres of government land. He held for several years a commission as justice of the peace under appointment of the governor of Pennsylvania. He cleared his land with the help of his sons and lived on his homestead until his death. He was a Democrat in politics and both he and his wife were members of the Presbyterian church.
