General Notes: Husband - John Wagle

He settled in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, about 1750. He was a weaver by trade, and purchased one of the original building lots on Pomphret street, sold by the Penns in 1754. He sold the same in 1765 and migrated to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

He was born at Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. He married Christina Johnston of that county and in 1773 removed with his family to Westmoreland county.

He [Isaac Wegley] was one of the pioneers of Pennsylvania, was of German lineage and born in Northampton County, served as a soldier in the French and Indian war and once marched with Gen. Washington from Philadelphia to Fort Pitt. During his military career he took possession of three hundred and twenty-seven acres of land lying between the present villages of Manor and Penn, part of which was later owned by the Westmoreland Coke Co., and part by Abraham H. Wegley, a great-grandson.
