Mrs. Susan M. Buchanan
Mrs. Susan M. Buchanan, 89, of 4747 Graywood Ave., Long Beach, Calif. a native of Oil City and a former resident of Greenville, died at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, in the Long Beach Hospital according to word received here by relatives.
She was a daughter of Samuel M. and Sarah Domer Myers, born in Oil City, Feb. 10, 1889. She married Lyle W. Buchanan who preceded her in death July 4, 1967.
Mrs. Buchanan was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Greenville.
Surviving are a son, Troy C. Buchanan of Franklin; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Sally) Olson, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Wayne (Dorothy) Jones, Carlisle; two sisters, Mrs. Helen York and Mrs. Ruth Wood, both of Cochranton; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Three sons, Samuel, James and Lyle W. Buchanan Jr., preceded her in death, as did several brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Andrew H. Osborne Funeral Home, 73 Columbia Ave., Greenville, with the Rev. Marshall D. Berryhill, D.D., pastor emeritus of First UP Church, Greenville, officiating.
Interment will be in theMercer Citizen's Cemetery, Mercer.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
