General Notes: Husband - William Cochran

It is not clear that he was a son of "Honest" Robert Cochran.

He removed from Chester (later Delaware) County, Pennsylvania, to "Carrollsburg," one of the manors of Daniel Carroll, of Dudington, in 1732. In conjunction with Samuel Emmet and William Brown, he purchased from Barrister Carroll the "Carrollsburg" tract of 5,000 acres of land. When the boundary between Pennsylvania and Maryland was settled, Cochran's part of the tract was found to be in Pennsylvania.
