General Notes: Husband - William Bard Brush
He was reared in his native village, and attended the public schools. After serving a short time as clerk in a store at Larimer's Station, he commenced, in 1880, in mercantile business at Stewart's Station, where he was very successful. In 1887 he bought the stock of C. A. Black at Turtle Creek, doing a profitable business, and carried about five thousand dollars' worth of general merchandise. He was connected with the U. P. Church, and was a republican.
