DR. A. J. FLOWERS
Dr. A. J. Flowers, aged 62, once a minister and later a practicing physician, died at his home in Fairmont, W. Va., early Wednesday morning of hardening of the arteries, according to word received by his niece Mrs. Charles Steiner of Coal City. Until 25 years ago Dr. Flowers was a resident of Coal City, having been born and reared there. At that time he was not a physician, later taking up that profession when he went to Pittsburgh and West Virginia.
His wife is living and the following three children survive: Dr. Frank Flowers, Mannington, W. Va.; Mrs. Kirk Beatty, Fairmont, W. Va.; Mrs. Roy Fetty, Wheeling, together with the following brothers and sisters; Frank and Jacob Flowers, Coal City; Mrs. B. F. Melat, Louisiana; Mrs. William Hudson, Toledo, and Mrs. Frank Sopher, Hartford City, Ind., Mrs. F. D. Lane, Franklin, is a cousin.
The funeral services will be held on Friday at Fairmont.
