Independence, Washington Co, PA

After his marriage he and his wife lived with his widowed mother until her death, after which he owned and managed the home place. He was very successful in business. Politically he was a Republican, and was elected to various township offices, in which his efficiency was ably demonstrated. He and his wife were members of the Mt. Hope U. P. Church, in which he was an elder.
