General Notes: Husband - Jeremiah Wick
He resided in Armstrong County, PA, until 1828, when he moved to the vicinity of West Sunbury, Butler County, and purchased the property owned for many years prior to that time by Rev. John McPherrin.
He came from Westmoreland County, PA, to Butler County at a very early date and purchased 1,000 acres of land, just north of West Sunbury. He was a man of wide prominence in those days and was extensively engaged in the cattle business. With his uncle, Christopher Foster, who married Jane Glenn, an aunt, made many trips with cattle across the mountains to Philadelphia.
He was a native of New Jersey, and came to Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, with his brother John, in 1796. In 1828 he came to Butler County and purchased 200 acres of land in what is now Clay township, upon which he settled the same year. This farm was later the property of David and Lowry Coulter.
