General Notes: Husband - John Guy Bradley
The first ancestor of the Bradley family in Venango County, Pennsylvania, he came to the United States from Ireland in 1790, accompanied by his father and brother Robert. In 1816 he removed from Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, to Venango County, locating on a tract of land in what is now Plum Township which embraced that part of Bradleytown lying east of the Cooperstown road. Here he built a grist and saw mill, the first mill in the township, and the gristmill was later incorporated into another mill on the same site. Before the post office was established the settlement was popularly known as Frogtown, and W. H. Bradley was the first postmaster. [CAB, 1027]
He was an ancestor of John J. Bradley, but exact relationship is unknown.
