She was graduated from Waterford (Pennsylvania) Academy, class of 1892, and until his retirement was her father's valued assistant. In the autumn of 1909, in association with her sister, Rena M., she purchased a grocery business of Henry Lytle, at Waterford, and as Boyd & Boyd conducted a grocery and china store.
