General Notes: Husband - Samuel Finley
He served as major of a Virginia Cavalry regiment during the Revolution, and as a brigadier-general in the War of 1812.
He was an officer of the war of the Revolution; was the first land agent in Ohio, and one of its first U. S. Senators.
