General Notes: Husband - William Graham
He was the owner of a two hundred acre farm in Fairfield township, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, and was a contractor, his activity alternating between the farm and his business. He bought the farm in Fairfield township in 1828, and there resided until his death.
He came from the North of Ireland and settled in West Fairfield, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was a farmer and also drove cattle from his neighborhood to Philadelphia. As an advocate of Whig principles he took an active part in local politics, and the high esteem with which he was universally regarded is proved by the fact that in a strongly Democratic community he was elected to the state Legislature by a majority of two thousand five hundred. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church of West Fairfield.
He represented his district in the Pennsylvania House of Assembly in 1832 and 1833.
