General Notes: Husband - Newton H. Braddock
He was reared on the family farm in Richhill Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania, and attended the district school. He made farming his occupation and owned 160 acres of valuable land.
In 1864 Mr. Braddock enlisted in Battery B, First Pennsylvania Light Artillery, and was with the army of the Potomac at Lee's surrender. He taught in the schools of Richhill Township each winter from 1856 till 1873, except the time he spent in the army, and also served as school director, and was secretary of that board. He was a Republican, and a member of the G. A. R. Post.
