He emigrated from Switzerland to Lancaster (now Dauphin) County, Pennsylvania, in 1749. [HWC 1882, 546]

He came to America in 1752 from Switzerland.

He migrated with his family to America in 1752, on the ship "Bawley," George Grove, captain, "from Rotterdam, last from Plymouth," arriving at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on the 23d of October, 1752. He settled in Lebanon township, then Lancaster County, where he later died.
