General Notes: Husband - Jacob G. Voegtly
He was a native of Switzerland, who came to the United States, with his father at the age of twenty-one years. He married and in 1852 he purchased a farm in Ross township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where he and wife spent the balance of their lives. They had a family of fourteen children, of whom they reared six.
