General Notes: Husband - Samuel Cochran

He was a drummer in his father's company in the Chester County Militia. He was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, 1816-17, and a State Senator, 1818-20. He was twice surveyor general of the state, 1800-09, and 1821-24. He was for forty years a ruling elder of the Fagg's Manor Presbyterian Church.
