General Notes: Husband - David Loutzenhiser

He resided in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, on a portion of his father's original land purchase during all his life.

He and his brother, Henry, purchased the homestead rights of the heirs of the estate which consisted of some three hundred and ten acres, also the mill site, upon which stood both the grist mill and a flax mill and saw mill, which depended upon the little Shenango river for its water power. Later, David purchased the interest of his brother, Henry, and the latter moved to Illinois. On the site formerly occupied by these pioneer mills was later located the Quaker Buggy works. When the Erie canal was cut through that section of the country it drained the original old millpond and afterward there was another mill erected west of the old site which later fell into other hands.
