General Notes: Husband - James Quinter Bowser
Born of poor parentage, he had to make his own way in life when quite young, and among strangers. When about fourteen years of age he began chopping wood for Hopewell, Sarah and Springfield charcoal furnaces, Pennsylvania. A few years later he began huckstering to Altoona, and continued for about five years. In 1884 he took up farming and followed that pursuit until 1919, when he retired. He acquired the possession of four fine farms in the beautiful Morrison's Cove, Bedford County, Pennsylvania
