General Notes: Husband - Amos T. Fair
He was born on the Fair homestead near Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania. He attended the public schools until he was old enough to handle carpenter tools, when he learned the trade with his father. When the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company began building their works at Ford City, in 1887, they appointed Mr. Fair their foreman of the carpenters. He held office as councilman or school director ever since his town became organized, and served as burgess for eight years
