General Notes: Husband - Henry Saxman

For twenty-five years he was successfully engaged in mercantile business at Congruity, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and one of the progressive farmers of the same neighborhood. He was of a tall, spare figure, closely resembling Abraham Lincoln in appearance, his friends in Philadelphia invariably greeting him as "Abe." He was a Presbyterian, very religious, a devoted Sunday school worker, and a deep Bible student, ordering his life by its precepts until his death, at the age of sixty-eight.
