General Notes: Husband - Henry Davis
Jefferson Twp, Mercer Co, PA
He settled on a farm in Mercer County, PA, March 8, 1864, and eventually owned eighty acres, through a portion of which the old canal passed. He bought the canal-boat “Compromise,” and operated it for a number of years transporting lumber, coal, pig iron, tan-bark, etc., to Pittsburgh and Erie. He and his wife were Free Methodists of Jefferson Hall. He was a Republican.
