General Notes: Husband - Jonathan Stevens Lytle

He moved with his parents from Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, to Venango County, by 1836. He worked in the fledgling iron industry in Venango County.

He was a native of Center County, Pennsylvania; a foundryman by occupation and was the first to convert a charcoal furnace into a black coal furnace. He came to Mercer county in 1857, where he followed his occupation until 1871, when he was compelled to retire on account of failing eyesight, caused by an accident. [BDHRBEC, 724]
